Hi guys,
I've been off of my C25K for a couple of weeks now as I was involved in a car accident and got whiplash (the rest of me is ok, but alas the car did not fair so well). I am currently waiting for some physio that the insurance company has offered and have stopped running to make sure I heal properly/don't do any more damage before the assessment. I am quite frustrated as I was meant to do W6R3 and was anticipating the stretch if long runs in front of me. Now with 2 weeks plus off, I don't know how I'm going to approach my return to running. The first hurdle will be getting out there as although I'm keen, I tend to struggle to get back to anything once I've stopped it for a bit, hopefully this keenness will be enough? Also, where do I go back to? I had already done more of Week 6 than I had intended (human error when picking the podcast meant I selected week 2 instead of 1, so I went back and did the whole of the week again) and was eager to progress. I know that I'll probably need to go back a few weeks (to my dismay) just to get my fitness back up to where it was before, but how do you judge? I know I'll need to be sensible as I don't want to disappoint myself when I flail before the end, but equally I don't want it to be too easy. Anyone have any suggestions?
