I was going to run W8R1 on Thursday, but I had all the bride's family over for dinner the night before the wedding, I thought, maybe there will be time on Friday morning before the wedding. Well it was pandemonium in the house, as the bride was leaving for the venue from my house, so we had the brides family getting ready, the bridesmaids and bride having hair and makeup done, the flowers arriving, etc so the run went out the window. We had a fantastic day, beautiful weather, the bride and groom (my son) looked radiant , a wonderful time - I danced the night away, so I thought maybe I will run tomorrow (Sat). Wrong! I had to rush into town to pay the photographer, and then the bridal party turned up to open cards and presents which was lovely! In the evening I was preparing buffet food for our Jive dancing freestyle, dancing and then clearing up ( I was on my knees, shattered!). I thought maybe tomorrow I will run. Sunday I woke up and felt as though I had actually run a marathon and a bus had hit me - exhausted!! So this morning I thought I must start Week 8, with fear and trepidation, but I did it - the knee was groaning a bit, but my body sighed as if to say "thats better!! back to running at last". I feel I have achieved my goal, I wanted to look good for the wedding, but I will carry on this running thing because I have found something that I love doing, thank you C25K!!

What a merry-go-round of a week for you! Not surprised that the run took a back seat for you. Have a nice day or two off before trying again.
