Last night I found out that I'm doing a 5km race tomorrow so last night I went for a run (to train a little) I only ran 3km though, and I did it in 15 minutes, am I ready for the actual 5k race?

Hi Jenayah7lynn - I am doing a 5k tomorrow - Race for Life. It is my intention to do intervals. I know I can do 5k easily with 2 min runs/walks. It will be my second ever 5k (the first was a parkrun and I exhausted myself). I have heard marathon runners do intervals as well so I guess it is OK for 5Ks as well.

Any time is good! Good luck xxx

As the others have said, any time is a good time. Finishing is the main thing... remember that 3K in 15 minutes is just over 30 mins over 5K which is a GREAT time... but you need to make sure you can go the distance...

You're ready for the race - simple as that... go for it!

You'll be great and the crowd will pull you along! Don't take off with the sub 20 minute crowd though and tire yourself out... :)
