Park run?
Absolutely not! You will know from your training so far whether you can expect to run the full 5k, but don't let it stop you if you can't. Plenty of people walk part of the 5k route on parkruns. And the atmosphere of running with others is very nice. So give it a go, you've got everything to win and nothing to loose.
hi! I´m doing week 6 and I will do a 5K next Sunday, I think we can run some of the way and walk if necessary. My plan is take Laura with me and do the run instead of W6R3, but trying to run a little more. And, I will take 2 days off before the run, I´m doing today W6R2.
Very good luck with your ParkRun! Best regards. Ana
GO FOR IT! You are probably pretty well on the way to doing 5k already so give it a go with the proviso that you can walk a bit if necessary. Promise you'll walk if it becomes too much of a strain.
GOOD LUCK and let us know how you get on.
Absolutely not. Run what you can and walk the rest. No hard and fast rules with park runs from what I can gather. I'm hoping to so my first one after graduating but that's just the way I've chosen to do it. Good luck and let us know how you get on
I'm going to do it at week 6 or 7 I think go for it! Everyone is super supportive and their are runners/walkers/crawlers of all abilities just enjoying being fit and having fun together!
Thanks all! Have found 3 runs near to where I live. The easiest is a flat run so will probably try that first. Happy running.
Do it ! If you are doing a Parkrun with 2 x 2.5k circuits you can stop halfway if you want. Or you can run and walk, lots of people do. It's good fun, even if you are very slow (like me) and the sense of acheivement is great...
