Disbelieving!!

I started C25km 5 weeks ago after overhearing about it at the hairdressers. I have never been able to run the length of myself ever, ever before but today I managed week 5 run 3!! Can not quite believe it. Reading all the advice on here helped me prepare - and slow and calm was order of the day (although around about 17 mins a bit of pleading was added!) The podcast suggests repeating week 5 and I think I might do that just to consolidate things, wondered about other people's experiences? I thought I would feel euphoric but I feel slightly dazed :-) maybe if I can repeat the success then I will start to believe it. Sorry about cat picture - added it but can't get it out now or move it lol.

There has been some discussion in the past about how to spread the news of C25K - mostly around the idea of having leaflets in doctors' surgeries, etc. Getting the idea from an overheard conversation while having your hair cut wasn't something that anyone thought of!

Anyway, feel free to repeat W5 if you want, but my view is to trust the programme. It's got you this far, and you ran for 20 minutes (wow, well done you!), so why not see how you get on with W6?

Well done! That's excellent. I would trust in the programme as so many others have done successfully. You've done brilliantly to get to here. I would just move on to week 6. Good Luck

Thanks so much for the encouragement! I think all the advice on here saying the programme works made me believe in it. And of course Laura keeps you going too! Still can't believe it, but I can't keep smile off my face now. Just met with my mortgage broker and waxed lyrically about the podcasts too!! Today is the first time I have ever posted anything like this online too, so it is a real day of firsts too!

Love the cat picture ! Well done on doing the 20 minute run. You SHOULD be ready to do W6 but if you're not feeling ready it's not going to do any harm repeating W5. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks Henpen90 - we must think alike - hens and cats! Swithering about repeat or not maybe see how I feel come Monday.

Well done for cracking this big one which always feels like a big step up. Getting into some real running now! Press ahead with week 6 - but treat it with respect as some find it can be a bit tricky.
