Why only Graduate t-shirts?

I'm a little disappointed that you don't seem to be able to get 'official' c25k t-shirts, except for those who've graduated. This seems like a missed opportunity to me as many folks I'm sure, would want to help advertise this program to others and at the same time feel even more part of a wider support team. Just a thought.

It's only right that those who have put in the effort and actually completed C25K get the shirt not anyone else.

I'm thinking of winning the mens 100m in Rio, can I have my medal now?

I apologize if my question / suggestion was not clear. I was not suggesting that non-graduates should be able to wear graduate shirts, merely that there are some of us who'd like to be able to help advertise the c25k program whilst puffing and panting through week 1-9

A C25K T-shirt is a great idea! I'm sure others would be interested too!

Hi Nick! Must confess this idea never occurred to me. I suppose my thinking has been that I'm 'advertising' the whole concept of getting fitter just by being out there and not on the couch....when you finish the programme you'll be thrilled to be wearing your Graduate t-shirt! Good luck with your journey....

If you had a C25K t-shirt, after nine weeks you'd want to wear a 'Graduate' t-shirt!

Gingernut you have summed up pretty much my thoughts! 9 weeks isn't long in the scheme of things

could you have two t-shirts - "I'm doing the C25K programme", and "C25K Graduate"?

I agree I think wearing a C25K thirst would be a good motivation to stay with the program. Yes 9 weeks isn't that long but some people struggle to keep going so anything that helps like a special tshitt is a good idea

There is an "in progress" t-shirt here zazzle.co.uk/c25k_program_t...

If I was wearing it I'd want to graduate even sooner so it might be just the motivation you need ;)

That one appears to be 100% cotton so I wouldn't advise wearing it on a run, I would have worn it casually though!

I wear cotton on my runs. I have a graduate t shirt but I have only worn it a few times as it makes me feel hot and sweaty and uncomfortable (and I look terrible in it but that's less of an issue), whereas I don't think about what I am wearing when I'm in cotton (there's a bit of lycra and in some of my t shirts there's some modal, but essentially I'm in cotton.

Everyone should wear what is comfortable for them, however the vast majority of articles I have read on the issue recommend now wearing cotton because it keeps the sweat close to your body and makes the shirt heavy. Having said that I can't speak from experience because I already had technical shirts by the time I began C25K so haven't run in cotton.

It is also advertising a different website.

Ah yes, I see your point! Ok, it was a silly idea ...

If you would like the tee shirt printed without the word graduate I can have this removed form the logo before applying it to the shirt... Just add this request in the comments field when placing your order

I liked these. I rather liked the one "I don't run" Because I misread the description as part of the caption, "I don't run funny" (I actually do.)

Hi NickTuson,

Good thinking and a good suggestion; when I see runners out and about I often wonder whether they are C25K guys and gals, if they were wearing ' I'm a C25K newbie' with a web address on it I am sure this would motivate others.

Regards

Me too. (I always felt that I'd like a great big L on mine too-just so people wouldn't think is that what you call running)

I always wonder who is a C25k person when I run. I think C25k badges would be a good idea. They'd need to be biggish though, or people would think you are staring at them. :-D

What about some C25k hats too. It doesn't have to say graduate on but would be a great way to advertise the programme.

They could get folks to sign up in GP surgeries and people could buy the hats, t-shirts of badges at any time in the programme.

While I agree a T-shirt to wear while we're doing the programme is a nice idea, I don't think I'd pay what is after all quite a bit of money for something I'd only wear (hopefully!) for a few weeks...I'm just starting week 5, wasn't sure to start with if I'd even like running, too late to order one now....I do like the badge or hat ideas though.
