Week 1 competed - my thoughts so far

Well, I've completed Run 3 of Week 1 tonight and it certainly feels good :) I have to say that I've enjoyed the first week and really looking forward to Week 2. I know I've only completed three runs but it's amazing how good I feel in myself and how much of a lift it's given me.

The main reasons for me wanting to undertake the C25K were to improve my fitness level and to lose about a stone in weight (my BMI is 26.7 and I'm approximately 11lbs above my ideal weight). After this first week, and with the ongoing support of this great forum, I feel I'm well on my way to accomplishing those goals but, of course, only time will tell.

Wishing everyone continued success in their attempt at the C25K and look forward to reading all about it.

Week 2 here I come :)

Regards, Paul

Well done! My third run is tomorrow, but after a tough second run yesterday I might play it safe and repeat a run before going on to week 2. Time (or rather my aching legs!) will tell ;)

That second run ! When you ache all over from the first one is SO hard, it was definitely my very worst one but magically the third was much easier and less painful.

Thanks, ufon. Hope your 3rd run is easier than your second. As you say, listening to your body is the way to go. Good luck.

Well done on completing week 1. Three runs is three runs and enough to make you feel good and give you a sense of achievement. Good luck with week 2 and best wishes.

Well done!!! I'm like you and feel a huge amount of satisfaction as each week is complete. I am also pleased to say that the sense of satisfaction gets bigger as the weeks go by. I will finish week 6 r3 on Wednesday and I am so excited about it. Go and get week 2

Well done! I've just completed my first week of runs and feel amazing - mentally as well as physically. I'm very overweight, yet didn't find it too bad - I wish I'd done this years ago!
