Bright sunshine, a cool breeze, a little ice on the puddles and a short early run at a river on Dartmoor~ bliss!
Time now to start planning my trip to North Cornwall for a cliff top run at Bedruthan Steps followed by the required cream tea at the NT tea rooms. See you there!
We had hailstones as big as beach pebbles hereabouts yesterday and this morning we have a white out in Derbyshire with a heavy frost all around. It's not thawed yet but as soon as it has I'm out on the trail or road, not sure yet
Your post reminded about Bedruthan Steps. My rather large SIL fell there and broke her ankle while on holiday and my bro spent the rest of the hols pushing her about in a wheelchair. He needed a holiday when he got back from holiday. LOL
oooh, errrr ~ I so pleased that we missed the hail.
We took my wife's slightly rotund mother to Bedruthan a few years ago, and we did get he down to the beach! She made her own way back up as we chilled-out and played with our son.. She did it, but she now has Parkinsons disease and there is no way she could even contemplate going to Bedruthan now, let alone get down to the beach.
Does your SIL now run? Are you a shining example for her to follow?
Ooh a cream tea. You've got my taste buds going there, but sadly clotted cream is one of the few things as yet unavailable in this part of the world.
Running on cliff tops sounds amazing, but I think my vertigo and fear of tripping over and plummeting over the edge will prevent me from ever giving it a go. Love walking the coast path though.
A bit warm for cream teas where you are I suspect.
Strange you should say about plummeting over the edge; that is precisely what we thought our son had done two years ago. Thankfully he hadn't; he had just taken a wrong turn.
