I asked all the same questions when I first started!!

I also have school run and go in the evening around 7.30pm so I eat first, leave it at least an hour then go out. Some find it hard to run after eating in which case before tea would be good. As long as you eat sensibly throughout the day and drink plenty you'll be fine. I tend to have carby foods on my run days.

Each to their own. You'll soon discover what suits you best.

Good luck!

I always run in the morning as I can't muster the energy in the evenings. I do the school run aswell so I set my alarm for 6.15am, get up and run. By the time I'm home hubby and kids are just waking up. Works well for me. But if you're not an early morning person it might not suit you.

Whatever suits you is the best time. People run from first thing in the morning to last thing at night. I now get up early and run at 6am, I have a glass or two of water and then have breakfast when I get back. Everyone does something different, just trial and error to find what suits you but don't stress abot it at this stage, just get out and do it :)

I leg it out the door once the kids are in bed, about 7.15, I have a running bottle of water that I take too then eat when I get home (husband cooks while I'm out ;) )

I get up early, eat a banana straight away, then get dressed etc and run. Later, when I'm at work, I have a couple of boiled eggs as a "proper" breakfast. Really, as others have said, you have to work out what suits you best so that you can stick to it.

I did up to week 8 run 1 in the late evening in the gym (later the better to have less witnesses!), then I started going out side to run in the early evening (4.30 or 5.30) I made sure I ate banana and or some dried fruit about an hour before and sip water all day.

Now I have SLOWLY adjusted, so when I need to I can get up earlier (6 ish), have a few mouthfuls of tea and bites of banana and then go for a run!

I never thought I could do exercise in the mornings but that's another facet of me that running has helped me find! Good luck x
