I have attempted this twice before and got to weeks 3 and 4 before a family bereavement and husbands hospital admission put an end to it. However, over the past year I have often 'popped in' to read posts to try and find the motivation to go again.
I love this forum, I read running magazines and have been watching the newly organised park run just up the road from my house wishing I was part of it-so what's stopping me? Why do I keep putting it off? I've decided it must be fear of failure again so tomorrow I'm going to man-up and go for it. The kit is out ready and I've got no other excuse!
Good luck but more importantly good for you for getting back out there. I too have started this programme before but came back more determined this time, I start week 9 next week, it can be done. It sounds like you've had a tough time, I wish you all the best - go for it!
Good luck You have had some tough times lately but sounds like you ready to get back to running . You've taken the hardest step by deciding to go for it and once you get off that couch tomorrow there'll be no stopping you Just take it slow and steady ,do what Laura tells you and you'll get there Let us know how you get on
Good Luck! It took me about 3 attempts before I stuck with it, it's taking me forever as I keep repeating weeks until I feel comfortable but I'm enjoying it - stuck at week 6, run 2 at the moment which is the furthest I've ever got and it feels great. Hope this time is the one for you!
Thanks for all your messages and tips to keep motivated. I am pleased to report W1R1 went easy and I'm looking forward to R2 tomorrow night.
