Graduate starting from scratch!

The light nights are coming and have decided to start again from week 1 having completed the 9 week programme last October. Been out tonight - windy & cold but exhilarating. Know I could have run for longer but like the discipline the programme gives and how it gives me something to aim for again. Off to make a healthy tea now!

I think primarily because I haven't done anything at all over the winter, and had a go at an exercise dvd recently which really pulled my back. I didn't suffer any injury when I did the programme last year and think it may be down to the phased approach of the C25K programme so decided it wasn't worth going 'hell for leather' on round 2 and wanted to build up gradually again. I also make sure I spend quite a bit of time stretching after (been told not to do it before) I've been for a run.

Yes , like I said mines a ankle injury & I was told off physio to take it steady so I thought like you starting from scratch was a good idea because I know what I'm like I go mad . But to be honest I have lost a lot of fitness in them 9 wks so this suits me . I completed r2wk 2 today . Yes you do right to stretch , I do before & after now ( physios orders ) hope your backs ok now & good luck with the programme

Good for you!

I've done it three times over the last two years after various injuries.

It's a good measured approach to returning to fitness.

Since I've graduated this time I'm sticking to the 10% rule so as not to push myself too far or too fast , and loads of stretching using yoga poses off you tube.

Good luck and keep to it!

I did the same last week. I graduated in November but hadn't run for 7 weeks. Restarted at week 1 and found it very easy. Skipped to week 2 for my second run and barley broke a sweat. Just considering another jump to week 3 for my third run today. That 's why I was on the site - looking for the wallchart. Don't want to overdo it and put myself off. Great to be back again though isn't it.
