Fabulous morning for my 2nd outing. Such a joy to be out "with Laura" (and the dog). No wellies this time, which was a good move after my sore heels from number 1 run. Can't imagine what I was thinking really. The dog always want to sniff about, so I'm considering not taking him next time. Feeling very positive! I think the format is excellent.

Great that you're enjoying it. Keep going - it's an excellent programme. Yes, I agree no wellies is a good move :D Happy running!

Thanks Daisy23. I see you are on week 8 - have you find it hard going?

Hi - I've sometimes found it tough, but not so much that I've had to cut a run short or miss one out. The programme is very clever as it builds you up gradually. The best advice I've had - at the beginning and now - is trust the programme: it works. Keep going - the sense of achievement is fab.

Nah, no wellies and no dog might be a good plan. You have to do double mileage though as you still have to walk the dog either before or after your run. It's all good though. Happy running, and dog walking of course!

That's so true about doubling up on the exercise as the dog will still need a walk. Maybe I can run on the spot whilst he gets his sniffing quota in. It's the sudden yank on the arm socket that's the killer when he decides that he has found his Mecca of sniffability en route.

Running in wellies was a bit like running in mud. Well, I must have been eager, that's all I can say in my defence. I have a lovely pristine pair of running shoes that I bought last year when I decided I wanted to be "a runner", but they have been languishing in the bottom of my wardobe apart from a couple of false starts last summer.

They got dirty this morning, but my feet were great-full. I felt like I was running (and walking) on air. A vast improvement.

Can't wait to do run 3 now.
