All my PB's have been gained when I was hungover or a bit worse for wear.. I know that's not great is it?
I have been pondering this and my theory is that when I'm hungover my mind is too exhausted to put up a fight and release the running gremlins that hold me back? If I could tap into doing that to my brain by not getting hungover I'd be on to a winner?
Any thoughts... Similar theories etc or am I just a bit bonkers?

Hey, interesting theory and topic. It is pretty impressive if your getting your PBs in such a state lolll, joking aside I'm not too scientifically minded but I know where your coming from. I tend to run my PBs when I have a slight niggle/injury. I think sometimes when we are down, slightly injured or stressed we sometimes dig that little bit deeper and want to prove to ourselves what we are cable in less than perfect circumstances. When I feel great, I do find it tougher to replicate a faster previous run time. Go figure! I'd be interested in reading other peoples replies.
My theory to that Panther Girl is, your head is fuzzy from the booze, your brain must therefore be fuzzy and not working at maximum performance!! Sooooooo the body is just doing its own thing and it goes head long into Panther mode, see where I'm coming from!?! So for maximum performance you would need to try and switch off the brain and let your body take care of its self. After all its now well maintained, streamlined, sleek and turbo charged
P***head! I think you should try and run and swig from a bottle of RED at the same time. You might end up with a wine splattered vest, but you might just run the best ever time!!
I too seem to be able to run pretty well when expunging booze fumes from the night before. Perhaps it's your body saying "Oh THANK you for giving me oxygen and making the blood flow!"/
I have the exact same thing! My theory was always that my brain is too tired to pay attention, and more importantly I'm very conscious of being dehydrated etc, so I take on more water beforehand, and try to pace myself more. Interesting! Glad I'm not the only one.
Agreed on the alcohol and times. - I tend to obtain good running times when i am hungover. Once i was still absolutely sloshed and was finding it difficult to even stand up when mystifyingly i found myself at the start of a 5k park run. I deliberately took it slow as i did not know what the hell i was doing. Still managed under 24 minutes, it would have been faster if i could of run in a straight line. It was a good sobering up exercise though. I'm sure Mo Farrah must be a raging alcoholic.
