Whoop whoop got the all clear
Brilliant news Rockette. Well done. Now....take it easy....no heroics ok?!!
Certainly not Lycra man dan !
Well done, take it nice and easy Rockette and good luck.
Great news - just in time now the days are getting longer and the weather (slightly) better. Don't forget to keep updating us with progress xxx
Enjoy and take it slow and steady to build back up again.
So pleased for you Remember slow and steady does it
Oh yes I've learned my lesson .
Wow, you must be feeling great. Good luck, Rockette, you will soon be up to speed, but do you know what caused your injury? Definitely worth avoiding, next time round. Those of us of... ahem...more mature years... do need to remember that although we might feel 25 again, our bodies need to be treated with respect, especially after the years of abuse that we (may) have subjected ourselves to. Good luck.
Keep running, keep smiling.
Oh so true iannodatruffle good advice as always. physio told me not properly warming up & stretching & also doing too much too soon . Was probably the reason . Well lesson learned & I will follow all his advice to the letter .
Heya, good luck! I just restarted again after a 2 month break to injury. I've done one run of week 1, one of week 2 and one of week 3. I'll keep stepping up so long as the runs are OK, but I'm planning on doing all runs of week 5 and 6. OH and doing lots of stretching after runs and on non-run days.
Enjoy your running, hope the sun keeps shining for you
Excellent news Rockette. Look forward very much to hearing your progress. It will be a while before I am ready to run again, after my gall bladder op. I am walking every day though.
Great news, you must be so pleased. Take care, don't overdo it, do your pre-and post run stretches and go out there and ENJOY!
Really pleased for you. Good luck in getting out there. x
I've never done pre run stretches before but will now . Thanks & happy running
Hooray! It will feel wonderful to be out there again. I expect you will get back up to speed quite quickly so be good about not overdoing it. Let us know how it goes. Enjoy!
Excellent news; hope it goes well for you
Fantastic news matey! I'm so pleased for you after your doubts and pressure from others to give it up. You so should do this! Just take it easy. You know your body now so listen and you'll be fine. Good luck getting back in luv. X
Great news Rockette!! Enjoy getting back to it
Eeeeeeeek!! *dances* this is the best news ever! Take it steady, I understand how hard it is not to do 'just a little bit more', or go a 'teeny bit faster'...slow and steady congrats though, made my day!
Rockette, what fabulous news! I'm so glad for you after what must have seemed like the most interminable wait. I'm out of action for a few months now so you'll have to be running for me now and then I'll be back at the beginning again ,too! So, don't forget to take it easy and do all the stretches etc. Oh, and have you invested in one of those roller thingies as well?!!!! Enjoy!
Great stuff. Go Rockette, but go slowly.
