I think the longer runs are as much a mental challenge as a physical one. Believing in yourself is sometimes harder to achieve than anything else. This programme is showing me just how much can be achieved by someone the wrong side of 45, over weight and unfit. I've still got that cheesy grin on my face......

I am in the same boat as you on the wrong side of 45. But thanks to this running lark I have just recently pipped over the mark into healthy on bmi and consider myself to be getting rather fit. Such a difference to this time last year. And yes I also more than ever before have a cheesy grin on my face.

Wow, such an inspirational post. Seeing that you are so far along in the programme and still enjoying running is such a nice thing to see and gives me hope for the weeks ahead.
