I was out on a beautiful autumn day and decided to try this programme which my son had seen at school in his health class. I did walk and exercise before but have never been able to run as my legs just seemed to stop of their own accord after a very short distance with me puffing away. I have followed the programme exactly and after the 1 minute runs had my doubts but stuck with it and voila I can run. In fact because I live in Moscow the imminent snow was an incentive and I managed 30 mins at the end of week 7. Now I have run 30 mins 4 times and am trying to keep it up. The snow has arrived so I don't think I can run outside much longer so I will have to try the treadmill. I am not sure I can run on that as I like the distraction of running outside. Here's hoping but regardless I have done it and know I can do it again if necessary.

Congratulations, and welcome to the message board!
Hi there in snowy Moscow! I do all my running outside. I can't imagine being on a treadmill I really can't. Runs go so much quicker in the great outdoors as there's so much to see
Well done on catching the running bug and graduating. Yay!
Treadmill is ok.. I still listen to laura but watch the tv on subtitles at the same time. I joined a gym so that if the weather is disgusting or I dont want to go out on my own in the dark.. I can just walk to the gym..i keep a bag packed with towel locker money and membership card packed, ready to go...
There is treadmills out there, to help that sense of adventure, they can connect to goggle maps, that allow you to run most places around the world, central park New York ,Rome etc ...it is called "ifit Live" if you can google map it- you can run it
