So close now I can almost taste it ...

Successfully completed W9R2 this morning. Have come to the conclusion I must be built for distance, not speed! I don't seem to get any faster but I am managing to increase my distance all the time (extended today's run by a couple of minutes), so I must be doing something right! (Though still only running just over 3.5k.) Aches and pains seem to have sorted themselves out, so it looks as if I'm on course to graduate (fingers, and everything else, crossed!) on Monday when there are less people about and I get the paths and pavements almost to myself. Have waited a long time for this, so bring it on!!

Thanks Rockette! (Nice badge!) Well it won't be as fast as yours, but hopefully it will be fun.

Thank you! I think I'll just be working towards getting 5k under my belt to start with. The biggest challenge will be keeping going throughout the winter I fear.

Thanks ReyC. Yes, I felt really strong on yesterday's run, so I do know I can do it now, and that feels good!

Try to set up everything to make your grad run memorable-mine was a slog on a Friday evening after a hard week at work and too much to eat, making it one that I would have forgotten had it not been so significant. Good luck. You've worked hard for this, enjoy it.

Thank you, yes I'll hopefully have had a restful weekend beforehand and will have my favourite paths almost to myself. Will it be too much to hope the sun shines too?!
