face plant - ouch

Had a absolute nightmare yesterday. Missed my train, lost my ticket, late for work, various crises... and was quite looking forward to my run. I was powering along my warm up walk to the park when my feet got caught in packing twine and I fell, hard and fast to the ground. skinned my knee, bruised my shoulder and smashed my iphone! :(

I did do the run though, slowly and very carefully. 5.3k in 38 mins, so there is something good that came out of a write off of a day!

ouch.

Well done for not giving in! Sorry to hear about your knee, shoulder and iphone though but at least you can be pleased with yourself for not letting life beat you! I would probably have given up and gone home! 5.3K in 38 mins is impressive too. Onwards and upwards! :)

oh well done for carrying on anyway. it's addictive this running lark, isn't it? I had a rotten day at work today too and all I could think of was ' must go running .. must go running/ and I did. 25 mins on a treadmill isn't exactly v hard but it was worth it, I am working up to trying to do 75 mins a week,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
