on concrete - at parkrun this morning!! Ouch!! Caught my toe on the heel of a runner in front that I was intending to pass - and down I went - flat on my face. Some skin off knees and hands and the bottom of my Sternum is sore. But I think it will all be Ok - picked myself off, dusted myself off and still finished in 33 minutes :)

Ouch! What happened to the other runner? Well done you for getting up and doing it in a great time regardless. You might be a bit sore tomorrow.

Falling over, recovering and still finishing in 33 minutes? You are the Lasse Viren of the Antipodes.

Well done, chap.

Well done Baz. These things happen but mostly it's just flesh wounds, thankfully glad you finished in good time

Ouch Bazza, that must have shook you up a bit, hope the injuries aren't too bad. Well done for getting up and completing, that's dedication of a true runner, keep smiling.

Sorry about your intro to the cement, Bazza.

You fared better than me. I had my first meeting with the pavement back in September I ended up with a broken nose and a fractured sinus bone (which is still healing). Only my pride hurt most. But it hasn't stopped me from runnng on the tarmac. :)

Yes - I think that I was only a few MM away from a broken nose. Skin of hands and knees and a sore sternum - but my nose is worst but with not much sign of damage - no skin off , etc - but the sorest!!! The accident was caused by a runner stopping abruptly , causing the runner behind to also stop just as I was striding out to pass him!!

I am going to have to go forward in the starting lineup from now on!

Ah the dangers of 'tail-gating' :) That's the spirit Bazza - hope the damage is all superficial - well done - great time too.

Not as bad as when I fell on my bum infront of every other parent at sons sports day in the mummy's race and my top rode up and gave everyone an eyeful too!

Well done on still finishing in very decent time with pride almost in tact :) sounds like a runners sandwich,Go wide on all overtaking manoeuvres!! (Leave room for a car door to open like my old driving instructor would av said)

I'm very impressed by 33 mins after that.

Ouch! Not good. Very nearly had a similar pile up myself this morning when someone decided to stop and tie their shoelace on the first corner of our parkrun - a pinch point at the best of times. Luckily with a bit of hopping and side stepping the worst of the carnage was avoided.

Great time to record - especially with the break in stride and disruption of a fall. Well done. Hope the old snozzle feels better by morning.
