Hi I'm 21 I started this program in feb last year and completed it worked up to 5k before summer and ran a bit over summer...
But from sept-nov I was awful and was too busy to go out
Now I'm back and want to run again but the last 2 times I have gone out I have had terrible problems...
First run 2 Sundays ago I did my knee in no pain during the run (a slow3k in about 24mjns so I wasn't pushing myself as it had been so long) next day I could barely walk and was very painful for about a week and brought a knee strap...
So left it until this Sunday
Again went out with the aim of doing a very slow 3k (I have been riding and playing tennis during my 'break' so haven't lost to much fitness) and had to stop at 2.5k as my ankle was so bad - both of them! Always had problems with my right one and this is my far the worse my the left one was really bad on the inside, I was wearing an ankle strap on my right foot always have for all sport for a few years when I injuried it riding a few years ago and my newly acquired knee strap after the previous run...obviously I had the occasional pain when I first started running but nothing like this...
Any thought? I am a healthy active 21 year old and is really want to get back into running...
Thinking of going to a sweatshop and having my shoes looked at would this make a difference...
