Yay! Week 2

W2R3 completed this morning and my heart wasn't nearly bursting out of my chest like it was during W1. Actually felt not too bad today. I do worry though reading all the posts about the weeks ahead. But just taking one run at a time is good enough for me at the moment and the WP (will power) is still kicking my butt! Happy running (or in my case plodding) everyone.

  • well done SexyBexy! Don't worry about the coming weeks, trust the programme and trust yourself, you will do it. There may be days/runs where you wonder what you are doing, but you'll come through it and grow stronger with every success. And plodding is good, don't rush it, you have time after you graduate to play around with speed if you want to. I did for a bit, but I've decided I just like going out for a lazy jog after all, it depends what you want to get out of it.

    Happy running!

  • Thank you Vix! Those words...... after you graduate !! What a day that will be.

  • Well done you! What vixiej said! Don't look too far ahead; deal with it one run, one week at a time. Perhaps look at the posts on your week of the forum (on the right here) for those who are on the same run as you first. They're the one's to follow and you can make some good running 'buddies' and support each other as a result. Trust the programme though. It DOES work and you WILL do it! :-)

  • Thank you Jen! I will look at the forum for my current level - that's helpful advice. I think I need some buddies for this. Although I'm stiff and a bit achy I do feel stronger and feel like I am walking a bit taller because I know I've started this and it feels great.
