This is the fourth time. Done my first run. My new tactic is to run slower, I think if I can keep moving then that must be the way forward. When I'm struggling, I think how on earth am I going to do week two and beyond if I can't even manage this; then I am defeated, and give up. Wish me luck on my new tactic!

Good for you for having another go!

I was panic-stricken in the first couple of weeks as I thought that I would never be able to do it. I eventually realised that I was trying to sprint like I used to be able to do at school. However, school was nearly 35 years ago, so of course I can't do that now! You're right. Just slow it right down (as Laura says) to a light jog. Even if you feel that you are barely shuffling along the most important thing is to be able to keep going steadily. Don't worry about distance or speed.

If it's any consolation, I had to keep stopping and starting and it's taken me 6 months. But I did it!

Good luck, and keep going (slowly!).
