Well , only on wk 3 run 2 but I know what I'm treating my self to , I'm off to the nearest sweatshop & I'm having my self a decent pair of running shoes , so there lol
When I got to my first weight target I got myself an iPad and when I graduated I got myself new trainers and a Garmin Forerunner 610 with HRM & footpod. I don't know if I'll buy myself anything when I run my half marathon in a few weeks time.
I treated myself to a Garmin (Forerunner10) to record my last run of week 9 - and have appreciated it ever since. It's nice to be able to record the runs and see the progression (or vice versa at times!).
I'm on week 6 and have promised myself new and 'proper' running gear when I graduate, including new running tights, tops, jacket and an upgrade in running shoes.
At the moment, I don't run in proper gear...i.e I'm running in top shop leggings, skinny tshirts and hoodies.
They do the job I suppose...but to be fully 'kitted out' is an incentive to me ;D
I piroutted at the top of the hill in the park (even though there were dog walkers around! ) & I ordered my c25k graduate t shirt (in biggest ladies size, stupidly as it was too small to wear as it rode up during running, but today I ran wearing it for the first time with no issues, yay!)
I got myself a graduate t shirt, money is too tight to get a shiny Garmin so I will have to rely on the highly annoying Nike+ app a while longer. Maybe Xmas will bring something... (I wonder if Mrs Narmour is reading this... AHEM!!!)
C25K t shirt - which looks terrible on me alas (should have gone for long sleeved I think as I rarely run in short sleeves) and I almost never wear now. And 101 running songs for my phone, plus some Audiofuel stuff (as this was pre the C25K+ podcast trio)
I got a Garmin for myself as a graduation present, but it came one day before my graduation run which means, I used it to do my graduation run! Then followed..all my proper running gear, winter running gear..hats, bum bags etc etc etc..list never stops
