Haha perhaps I had forgotten I didn't think it was too bad. There are much worse hills in Glasgow. Once you're over that hill you're nearly at 1km. I thought it was good because it was at the start, got you warmed up properly and legs weren't tired. But also because it's at the start everyone's bunched up. I was worried I was going to feel slightly claustrophobic as I do when shopping on hills like this but I didn't. I think perhaps they route it like they do for the impressive photos!

Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for posting. I don't remember it being that steep! I think the camera has foreshortened the view.

The good thing was it was the only real hill on the course, there were a few inclines leading to bridges but nothing else and we must have lost the height fairly gradually as I don't remember any rel down hill bit.

I'd normally have some stats from Endomondo but I didn't set it going properly at the start.

And what happens when they all reach the top? A lemming-plunge into the sea?

Old Ned, it was downhill and then fairly flat after that.

Oh My! I don`t think it was as steep as it looks in that pic.

I managed to run it, so it couldn`t possibly be :)

So this is what you call a 'Hill'! I have once ('once'!) done a 'junior hill when I did my 10K on a Saturday, maybe about 1/3 of this and I was going VERY slow but came down VERY fast! What happens once you reach the top...I wonder!!

Downhill and then straight, loved the hill as it was a challenge.
