Colder and muddier than last time, but no puking or falling. As usual had a horrible first half but then got into my groove and negative split by 8.30. Took several minutes of previous time, although given the mishaps of last time that is not saying much,
Another piece of the puzzle in place though. More hillwork before next time.

beautiful medals, well done you, I am going to try and sign up for the next one with Leon. I got chatting down the hill at park run yesterday with a really nice bloke who is doing it too ( he did todays), and it sounds fantastic!
Official times not up yet. I think around 1.12, which may sound slow but given that it is all X-country and there is a about 1.5k in each lap that is properly hands-on technical in places, I am pleased. for comparison my usual road 10k is 54mins including hills.
Well done on the 10k and the fab looking medals!
I was completing the rather tame sounding W5R2 not a million miles away in Warminster at the same time, lol!
So glad you got through this run without mishap Rig. I was wondering how you were getting on. You're going to have a mighty fine medal collection there. You should be proud of yourself and what you're achieving
Hills still kill me, but I persevere. Am going to try adding 20 mins on the stairclimbing machine when I do weights at the gym - a friend recommended this. Am still doing my usual over-ambitious workout schedules.
I call that fabric "Charity shop tablecloth" PP. Don't know if there is a more technical term. Funnily enough I am frequently complimented on my tablecloths when they appear in background of pics. Answer is always the same though.
Seems there were loads of runs going on all over the place this weekend, but I didn't know about this one, I work for Wessex Water (not in the Bath office though) and normally get to hear about local stuff like this.
Some friends ran a 10k charity run on WSM seafront this morning - breezy day for a run today!
And yes, very pretty tablecloth (love a table cloth me )
Sorry, no idea what the Brassknocker is. The race is a 2 lap circuit round the Uni grounds/woods behind the golf course, round Sham Castle and back into the Uni. There is one a month November to Feb. The same people who do the two tunnels race.
Good going Rig! Congrats on the lovely shiny medals. Love em!
Groovy table cloth too!
I should think a 10 k off-road race would be very tough given the conditions yesterday. I was out jogging on the road and it was vile. So, well done. It takes guts. Fortunately you held on to yours!
