It's not just me then.

I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one struggling to keep running just now. I achieved 30 mins running about 10 days ago, hurrah! Started fantasising about new running kit, doing the Great North Run next year etc. Since then I've run twice: first time had to slow to a walk after 20 mins, second time only made it to 15 mins. My new mantra has to be 'a poor run is better than no run at all' or I'll never get back to 30 mins.

3 steps forward and 2 back? - yes I know that feeling all to well............... having enough time to do this is hard but perhaps more regular short runs may help get some consistency

Thanks, tyoung45, today I've done what you suggested, run 15 mins, turned back and walked the next 15 mins home. Now I'm going to step it up and run a bit further each time until I've gone back to 30 mins running, hopefully at least 3 runs a week. I'm telling myself I've run 30 mins, so a shorter run will be easy - not exactly true, but gets me motivated!
