I missed a run today...

Tomorrow is a new day, don't be down - just focus on having a better day tomorrow :))

I used to feel like that in the early weeks but sometimes it's ok to just leave it. I've gone five days between runs (I have a young child and a partner that woks shifts) and its been fine physically, but mentally I felt guilty. I decided that I wanted to enjoy my running, so no guilt allowed for when I don't get out. I've found this decision has taken a load off my shoulders! So, after all that waffling, basically I'm saying don't give yourself a hard time over missing a run x

I've missed the odd run too and done them a day or three late (injury/illness), just consider it an extra day recovery and you'll be even stronger tomorrow.

Running after work really is too demanding. Have you tried morning runs? I find mornings way better, even though we are slowly running out of light.
Hi Sarah. I know where you're coming from - I felt pants yesterday and only just managed to force myself to do it. You haven't let yourself down at all, you really haven't. If you really, really aren't up for it then you're much better off taking an extra rest day than forcing yourself out, hating it and failing it and then giving the whole thing up. Give yourself a break - you're working hard, you're dedicated and giving it your best. You've got nothing to beat yourself up for. Good luck with the run today if you're up for it, let us know how well it goes.
Thank you all, I ran today!
