The legs strike back!!!

Oh dear I have had pain at the back of my lower legs/calves for 2 days now. They are so tight and stiff I'm not going to do any running till they feel ok. I thought I'd had all the aches and pains in my legs, this is a new one! Hoping yoga and foam rolling will help :(

That's the area I often get pain and on advice from here I got a foam roller and it has been absolutely brilliant. Hope you manage to ease them and get back running soon, definitely a good idea to leave it until they are better. Good luck.

Hi runningwild. Have you tried stretching at the end of your run ? The stretches on the NHS Strength and Flexibility are quite good and seem to prevent too many aches and pains.

When you are feeling better, maybe take a look at the following to see if that helps.

Hi runningnotwalking, yes I always stretch, think I pulled a muscle :( Thanks very much for the link and hope you're enjoying your running.
