Not a happy bunny today, physio said no running, I have done more harm by going out after dislocating my shoulder eight weeks ago. She said it could take up to 3 months so back to walking while hubby runs off .I asked if a foam roller would help and she no, I was all set to buy one today in Sports Direct. I asked about a steroid injection but that won't help because the ultrasound showed that there was no tear in the tendons. So I will have to just soldier on so to speak, go off enjoy my holiday and keep reading all the lovely new posts .Pat.

This 74 year not happy no running
Oh dear Pat, what a total bummer ('scuse my Francais!). That is not good news and must leave you frustrated.
We shall try and keep you entertained! Keep reading on 'ere...
I'm not trying to second-guess a professional but I have to say that does sound like slightly over-cautious advice from your physio. Being simplistic about it - it's your shoulder you dislocated and I don't believe anyone has ever run on their shoulder. Knees, ankles, feet, legs, hips, pelvis - yeah, I can see the need for caution. But shoulder? Not for me to advise of course but I'd be a bit sceptical myself. Especially as there is no tear in the tendons. Mind you, I once fell off a motorbike, broke my arm, walked around with it for three days until the day before going trekking in Turkey for 6 weeks. Had it plastered, was strongly advised not to go. Went. So who am I to talk?
Pat. I think you should get a second opinion from a Sport's Doctor. Meanwhile, all I can say is chin up and look out for piccies of Dan in wedding dress and veil
Thats really hard...take care and enjoy your holiday...
Hi Pat, really sorry to hear this I know how much you were wanting back out there. It wouldn't hurt to speak to a sports physio, they may be able to give you exercises to strengthen and get your shoulder more mobile. Keep walking, swim if you can too and please keep in touch with us all. Take care
