Graduated, running for enjoyment, heat wave and injury.....

I haven't been on the community for a while, after graduating I spent a few weeks just running because I could, I was enjoying it and the distance and speed didn't really matter to me. I found a few different routes, forgot about times, put some good music on and started to look around me and enjoy just running.

My achillies injury healed and I was ready for my first 5k race. And then the heat wave arrived! The day of the race was so hot!! I just couldn't manage to run the whole way which was dissapointing because I knew that I could, but I was defeated by the heat. Since then I've really struggled with the heat, tried running later at night and that was better but still hot! Now the Achilles injury is back with a vengeance so no running for me for a while. Never mind. Running is part of me now, a few weeks off but I'll be back, I might go back to an earlier week of the plan to build back up again.
