So there I was, running in the rain this morning. It was dry when I left home but persisting down by the time I got to my starting point. Hey Ho, it's only rain. I like running in the rain, it's cool in all senses of the word and once you're as wet as you can get, well, you're as wet as you can get and it doesn't matter. I find I run faster in the rain too, or perhaps it just feels like that. A brisk 3K was all I did this morning but as I ran, soaked to the skin, past the cafe in the park I saw, inside by the window, a chap who I often see walking his dog while I'm running. I gave him a cheery thumbs-up; in return he waved his bacon sandwich at me. Gratuitous cruelty to a wet runner!!
Gratuitous cruelty to a wet runner: So there I... - Couch to 5K

Cruel indeed! But you may have the last laugh in the long run because you'll be fitter for a longer life! Keep giving him the thumbs up!
I think I'm a bit strange cos I love peeling off my wet running gear and diving into the shower, its sheer bliss. Agree 100% Ned once your wet your wet, it can be fun jumping the puddles too just to land in another one!
but didn't you notice it was a weird kind of warm rain this morning? ... and still humid too...
mmmmm bacon - I must admit that I would have given in and robbed him of his sarnie
I got soaked this morning too..I didn't see a soul ...and no-one offerred me a bacon sarnie, I'd have given anything for a nice juicy bit of bacon fat I was STARVING!
Gosh how I envy you lot. It's 9.40 and 31 degrees. In for a humid night and a fresh 6.30 am run.
A treadmill run for me this morning so I didn't see anyone, let alone someone taunting me with food. I had toast and marmite and about a litre of liquid after though. (We were away camping last weekend, I came back from my Saturday morning run to a bacon roll cooked for me by hubby!)
