Well my x ray came back after having a dodgy knee for months. The results are beginnings of slight osteoporosis, nothing 'remarkable,' how dare they? my knee is very remarkable, it got me running for 30 minutes!
Has anyone had experience of this, should I be worried? I'm going to do a bit of research, but I'm sure I can still run?! Ah the joys of getting older...

Running is supposed to be good for strengthening the bones. As a coeliac this is something we have to watch out for as we don't absorb the nutrients etc as well as we should. We also have to make sure we drink/eat dairy or calcium rich foods to keep the bones strong.
Whoops, misheard what the doctor's receptionist said and finally had to go in to get the letter( which didn't come in the end). Anyway the upshot is I have beginnings of osteoarthritis not osteoporosis! I asked him if I could still run and he said, I can't tell you not to, also he said it will help if I do quad strengthening exercises which I'm already doing. So I'm fine, it's not like I'm an athlete or training for anything serious! Sure the yoga is helping as well, final tip was he said, listen to your body. Ah well my father did say I'd probably inherit his arthritis
