Plenty of water and a slew pace will see you round :-)

I did one last week and it was hot. Just pace yourself and if u have to walk so be it. Just make sure you leave enough steam to run across the finish line. Enjoy :)

Time for some deep breathing, take 10 mins and just start to breathe deeply focus on pushing the belly out when you breathe in slowly, then relax as you breathe out slowly. Eyes closed and just empty your mind.

You can do this, take it steady & you will find most people will probably walk in this heat anyway..

Good luck

You'll be fine... just take it easy - as Tiger79 says just walk if you need to.. you'll probably surprise yourself in the end :-) Let us know how you get on xx

I am just back from a 10k race and the sun & heat are punishing. Drink plenty of water and just take your time. If you have to walk so be it, it's not the end of the world. good luck and focus on having an ice cream at the end :)

You'll be fine. I did my RfL on week 7 and managed an amazing 35 minute jog. I still don' t know how i did it, but i did. And so will you.

Good luck!

Hey everyone,

thankyou for your support!! I did it and did it in 39.30!!!! It was boiling hot and i ran the first circuit then walked and ran the second. I listened to Laura with the 10 min run 3 min walk, but just kept running as long as i could really, I met up with someone who was struggling the last bit, and we ran the last 1k together and sprinted the finish!!! was bit emotional!!!!

and i did have a massive ice cream at the end to celebrate lolol!!!!!

(my hip bursitis is punishing me this morning but the smile on my face is worth the pain!!!)

good luck to you who have it to come, xx

really big WELL DONE - that really was some achievement in the heat we had yesterday - I haven't got a clue what a Hip Bursitis is but it certainly sounds painful.

happy resting!
