Didnt put into questions cos I wanted to add a picture if the graph of the hill on our run. We go from left to right, taking the longer more gradual slope. I keep wondering if we should go the other way - steeper but shorter. What would you do?

Try it! What's the worst that could happen? You don't finish it and you go back to left to right. I think it might be easier in some ways- over more quickly! Good luck! X

that's not a hill - I'd need a rope to get up there & you're thinking of going up the steeper side...

I'd definitely try it. With a rope and crampons. :) Our parkrun has a very steep bit, and I'd much rather go up that and then down the long slope than the opposite way round. Lots of tiny little steps and an amazing feeling of 'Yesssssss!' at the top.

Love your hill! :)

wow, that's a hill,

going the other way you get to go downhill for longer, I love going to downhill, for some strange reason ;-)

so i'd give it a try :-)

Thanks guys - its prob not quite as high as you think (the numbers are meters elevation so from 60 to 90) but its quite steep enough for us!

Wow - I think I'll stop moaning and bitchiing about my hills, because they no way measure up to that monster!
