Harder than 20 mins consecutive running...

You'd think run 1 of week 6 would be easy. Run 5, walk 3, run 8, walk 3, run 5. Got to be easier than 20mins continuous running, right? WRONG.

That hurt a little bit! Start stop start stop is definitely harder than just going. Yes. Still, it's done. Onwards and upwards...

Had the same experience. Frustrating to have run 10 minutes and to have to walk when you are going well. Well done for completing it though.

Hi, I remember blogging about this very fact about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I too was so sure of myself after running the W5.3 that I was caught out with the first W6 run and found it a nightmare!

You'll find the continuous runs more agreeable - AND you get a great feeling of elation after each one. At least I have.

Good luck

I felt the same. Even after reading comments on here about it being difficult and trying to prepare myself, I really struggled. However, I have just completed w6 r3 and it feels awesome! No more walks from now on :) Well done for getting this far, keep going!

Yep - same here. Felt smug starting W6R1 after the highs of Week 5. Wasn't too smug by the end, struggling to complete it. But the rest of Week 6 did get better and I've now managed W7R1 too so do hang in there.

Thank you for posting - now I know what I've got to look forward to in a few weeks time. At least now I can prepare for it. All the very best with the rest of your programme.
