Well I started on 8th April not really believing I can do this but with each week I ran with Laura talking in my ear and the woods and horses watching me. The trees now have leaves on them, the horses still watch me and I have muscles in my legs and trousers that are too loose! I feel great.
Now what? I took 35 minutes to 5k so would love 30 minutes but I think a mix of speed and distance runs as that seems to be what most people do.
Can I thank everyone who has commented on my blog and have posted their own which have helped prepare me for the runs.
I have to keep this up as I am going to New Zealand to visit friends and then on to Fiji in the autumn; a once in a lifetime holiday. A run on a tropical beach anyone?!!!!

Well done! You do realise that you will have to change your name now! It is amazing looking back at how far you have come in such a short time isn't it?
Congratulations! You can always get faster, that's a good time anyway! I'm in new Zealand, you should hopefully have some good weather come your autumn, it's pretty shocking at the moment! Happy running!
Thanks. I'm waiting with excitement for my badge. My husband opened some bubbly last night which was great. Unfortunately I've woken up this morning with a sore hamstring. Ice, ice.....damn and blast it!
Another graduate, the admin staff must be busy this week, we're all kicking that couch... lol Congratulations. Lovely blog. Wow lucky you, holiday sounds great. Nice badge
Thank you for all your messages. I've been going around with a big grin on my face. Next run will be next week as my hamstring needs to settle. Oh well, I went the 9 weeks without missing out so I can't complain. It has happened before - about 20 years ago playing football with my boys in the back garden!
I think I'll more likely be scuba diving than running in Fiji if I'm honest, as I have my PADI certificate! Husband is happy to snorkel with me too!
