Having just done my first S & F exercises I thought I'd give my opinion on how it went, and how I got over the problem of not having any shoulder-height railings in or around my house.
When I have been briskly walking and running every other weekday for the past 4 weeks it was certainly at first a bit underwhelming to hear Laura tell me to walk 'at an easy pace'. I'm also not sure how one can do the S & F indoors, given that unless one has a rather extensive house things might get in the way of walking round for a few mins?
I found the videos showing me how to do the various helpful, though I was given quite a clear description of what to do from Laura. 'Keep those elbows in!'.
Overall, though I'm not yet currently feeling like I have had much benefit from today's session, it is nice to have something to do when not running and I'm confident by week 5 I will be stronger and more flexible.
The above picture is one of what I used for the pull-up exercise. I was wandering round the garden seeking inspiration when I noticed it stuck to the side of the garage. I had never paid it much notice before, but it worked quite well. I've seen 'multi-purpose' lattice before but I doubt even the manufacture had in mind what I've used it for.
Unless I think of something else to write about, I look forward to writing tomorrow's blog after my second run of this week (4).
