When I began C25K in March, my aim was to do the Race for Life on 1 June, and hopefully do it in under 30 minutes,. Sadly, I managed 32.30, which while it wasn't my goal, was still a personal best. So on Sunday morning as I lay on the sofa, my legs aching pleasantly, I signed up for the British Heart Foundation 10k in Hyde Park in October!I am also waiting to hear if I have been selected for the 5 mile Olympic Park run on 21 July. So in preparation for both, I began Bridge to 10k today, with a 6.3k run. It's so great to have a new goal to work towards! I see my future, and in it I will be a running bore...

Congrats on the 5K and signing up to a 10K, my only advice will be take it easy and if you get any twinges consider scaling back your training, plenty of time to be ready by October and some programme build too quickly

Well done on your 5k and PB. I wouldn't worry about being below the 30min. My experience of RfL is there are too many people for a fast run and anyway that's not really what it's about.
Look forward to hearing your progress to 10k.

Looking forward to hearing how you progress in the build up to 10k, but a Phil says don't rush it.
I also did Race for Life 26th May and my time was 32 mins too. I was pleased with that. The first person through was in 17 mins so as I am not a runner but a jogger it was a good time.
I am on week 4 of the build up to 10k but taking it slowly.
good luck.
