Hi All, Just completed week 8 run 1 and enjoying it! I'm going to Tunisia on holiday for two weeks in July and the temp is expected to be around 35 to 40C. Not sure if I should try to run in the heat. Any advice? Thanks!

How about running really early before it gets too hot? Or will you be staying in a hotel with a gym? You could just go on the treadmill then.

I think it does have a gym, but I normally run outside. I'll give it a go though. Thanks

We're off on holiday this weekend and, while it's not going to be as hot as where you're going, it'll still be toasty. I therefore plan to run before breakfast or, as Cazvs suggested, on the treadmill in the gym.

Have a good time in Tunisia.

Before breakfast would be good, seems the best time to run when on holiday as it leaves the rest of the day free to enjoy exploring til late! Thanks

When I went to Tunisia it was very hot even from when we got up - well over 35c every day. Unless you want to get up very, very early I would see if there is a gym... Have a great time (I loved it, was a few years back but must have made a good impression as my daughter chose to go there again for her honeymoon in April :-)

We did a tour from Sousse via El Djem, Monastir, star wars sets, and other places to the Sahara for a sunset camel ride, that was great! Included a couple of hours being drive off road in a 4x4 too...

I live in the middle east and started the C25K almost 3 weeks ago. I currently run outside as I don't like the treadmill, maybe if it gets too hot in the coming weeks, it will have to be the treadmill...

Anyway, the only way I can run outside at the moment is to go early in the morning. I go out at 6am and its just bearable. I run in the shade and try to find trees to run under too.

If you are not used to the heat you would be better in the gym inside the hotel, you don't want to get sunstroke on your holiday! , be sure to drink plenty of water :-)

Hi!

Thanks for your reply, I think it will be the gym for me... I just hope it is air conditioned!!! Good luck with your C25K programme, I'm out tomorrow (probably in the rain!) for my Week 9 Run 2. Can't believe that I'm almost done!

Thanks Again
