I ran 10k for the first time ever today. I was quite nervous before the run - it felt like week 9 of C25k, would I make it or not? I wore my C25k top for luck (berry pink to match my 'running' face :) ). I was slow; I took about 1hr 18mins, but I did it. It did include a few small hills as well tho' by the end I was desperately trying to find the flattest route.

Will have a glass or two of bubbly tonight to celebrate !

Blimey...another 10k runner - something in the air today!! Really well done jennie, that's a fabulous run.

It's great when people ask you how far you run and you can say "Well, I have done 10k..."!

Enjoy the celebration! :-)

Thank you - I'm so chuffed. Must try that line - says she nonchalantly, 'Well I ran 10k at the weekend' Just cant believe it! :) :)

Well done us! I'm lying on the couch, knees a bit sore but getting better the more wine is consumed. Lots of red here so let me just pour you a drink. :)

It is great to know you can run 10k. I'm still smiling this morning. Even after graduation I never dreamt I'd be able to run 10k. So I'm going to enjoy this for quite a long time. :)

Thank you! And the bubbly was great too. A perfect end to a Bank Holiday.

I ran 10k for the first time yesterday (Monday) too, the BUPA London 10,000, and I'm really suffering today, aching back, hips and calves. I'm so pleased I did it though, but not sure if I really want to ever do it again. I got about the same time as you Jennie, and I did walk quite a few times, but finished in style with a kind of sprint, got my medal- sorted!

Well done! It must have been fabulous running that route. May just see you there next year - we'll be hardened 10kers by then. :)

Oh my gosh, I remember (doesn't seem so long ago) when you were struggling a little - look at you now! Well done, 10k is a fab achievement :-) :-)

Thank you! Looking back at that struggle in early March makes this all the sweeter. :)
