My private goal with C25k has been to run the length of the prom and back - and today I did it!

5.30am, chucking it down with rain and unseasonably cold; I wasn't even sure I'd be able to run the 25 mins, never mind any extra. But I found my rhythm quite quickly and when the 25 mins were up and the end of the prom in sight, I kept going. Took me 29 mins and it's just over 4km so I've a way to go before I do 5km in 30 mins, but it felt like a real achievement :-)

So if anyone saw a shopping wet, middle aged woman grin like a loon & give a little cheer to herself at prom end shortly after 6am today, that was me.

Tell you what though, the dog walk I did straight after my run turned my legs to jelly!

Amazingly well done Lola465! You must be feeling totally chuffed! The end of the programme is in sight and you've achieved a personal goal too! Aaaahhh how I envy your running venue, sounds wonderful ... I reckon the English seaside is better in rain and storms than in sunshine :) Enjoy your next few runs and continue glowing and grinning stupidly cos you know you can do it! ;) Cheers, Linda x

Thanks Linda :-)

I am lucky, living so close to the beach; it makes the early morning runs a pleasure.
