5x50 can we reach 20k?

Quick calculation this morning suggests we need to be doing 7k each today and tomorrow to do it and that's based on all 71 being active. So every little helps as they say. (I've even added the 1k dash round the retail park in the rain this morning!)

A plea to the cyclists - your half hour totals give us the total a nice boost.

We need 810 as of right now, it seems unlikely.

I have done 7 today and am going out soon or a walk although the weather is atrocious.

I reckon we'll smash the 20k.

I've done 15 today, 10k walk plus a parkrun. I'm aiming for 15 k tomorrow. I may just add on the couple of k I'll walk this evening to the local pub!

And just had to share that I got a PB at parkrun - finally broke thru' the 35 minutes barrier. I did it in 34,32. I'm sure that's partly down to the 5x50k challenge.

Oh, well done Jennie!

I've done 5k parkrun, 8k walking (two walks) and 14k cycle today - bit crazy, but really enjoyed it all. Might even do some yoga this evening. I haven't decided what I'll do tomorrow - might depend on the weather a bit!

Thank you ! I'm really pleased with the time. And well done to you too - 27k in one day, that's some going.

And thank you as well for inspiring me to work towards 10k. I'm slowly & steadily getting there!

Well there are not 71 active members unfortunately so more than 7k each for the rest of us but I think we can do it, in fact pretty confident as I know some are going all out for the final 2 days!

Go team!! Let's prove prove just how much we rock!! :)

Just had a closer look at the data. It's going to be very very tight. Every km is going to count. Come on everyone - we can do it, just one more day! :)

I can't move after yesterdays efforts in the gym! Just did my second walk of the day very, very slowly, took me over an hour to do 4k :O Going out again in a minute although I may ending up crawling home :)

Mean of me, I know, but this did make me laugh! That gym session sounds a real stinker! Take care - still more days to go! :)

I spent a couple of hours dancing (moshing) at a gig last night, should I log that as a 5k?

At least! I did a couple of hours ceili dancing a few weeks ago and put it down as 10k. It is very energetic and as we say " the sweat was lashing off me!"

Don't know how you have the energy-you have marked up fantastic mileage on the challenge- nearly twice mine. Well done.

Thanks I've logged it now but just as 5 as i didn't get a huge sweat on but felt it was worth something :) and it all helps the team total.

I'm really exhausted today actually, so couldn't face the bike to help the total but planning a long run tomorrow.

I did Parkrun this morning and have logged 2k walking for car-station-car and other bits; but now thinking I should get on my bike when I get home ( about 11.30pm) and add another few k's... then will cycle for a couple of hours before tomorrow's late shift... :-)

Goodness, I don't know how you manage all that round shifts! Cycling in the middle of the night really doesn't appeal at all. ugh! :) (But thanks for inspiring me to do a new cycling route today. :) )

Didn't make the late ride as the trains home were on snails pace due to a signal failure, so my effort would have to be logged for day 50 - I'll just go a bit further in the morning! Riding at night is good - not so much traffic and clearer roads mean you can go faster and beat your own time (that was my pleasure when I rode as my commute! Riding home at 1-2am was my favourite! Or into work at 5am :-)

Glad you found a new route today! :-)

540km to go... I think someone mentioned 634 active members (?) - 8.6 km each.

Oooh - so close!

I've just got back from a barbeque, where I was talking about my running and 5x50, and found out that some friends are doing a half-triathlon tomorrow - and the crazy thought went through my mind that maybe one day... noooooooooo! What has happened to me? :O

63, not 634! But they aren't all very active, so maybe 10-15 each????? Not impossible, if cycling/yoga is included?

Yoga for half an hour before midnight - ok, seems entirely reasonable!
