Every time I run my ankles have weights, called my body, its more than enough for my legs to cope with. Not sure that it would be good for long distances to use them, have you checked Google for info?

Thanks for the information. I was just wondering if they might have been an option after graduating (still 3 weeks away).

Didn't google as this was my first port of call as there are so many good folks here ready to help.

No experience using them, but the general advice seems to be not to use them as they can cause injuries. They were a fad in the 1980s and I've got some on the house, (I don't remember buying them - maybe one of hubby's presents?) but can't say I liked them. I used them for walking, but even then they are not good; they affected my natural speed walking gait.

They can be used for strengthening exercises and now that I've remembered about them I think I'll look them out to use when doing these exercises.

I meant "No experience using them, for running"

Again thanks for the info. I don't think I will bother getting any.
