Hello Friends!

Hi,

my name is Maria and I am from Germany. I did today my second run on the first week and I am very happy with the programm. Last year I tried it by myself to start running but I failed. My muscles ached and I got terrible stitch in the side. Every breath hurted.

Now with the NHS Couch25K programm my muscles don´t hurt and I don´t got stitch, too.

I orientate myself on the beat of the music and it works fantastic.

But I think, that I should do the first week twice. The winter was long and I catched a cold three times. Between November and March I was constantly in poor health. I think I need more time to swing into full gear.

First I finish my third run and than I see if I start the second week or if I repeat the first week.

I wish you a nice weekend!

Welcome Maria. See how you feel when you finish week one you might surprise yourself.

I also tried running before without this programme, I just never seem to progress. Best day when I was introduced the the C25K programme. :-)

Best of luck to you and keep blogging. :-)

Welcome to our lovely multinational running group! :)

Slow and steady often helps if week 1 seems hard work.

Welcome, Maria. The programme works - take it slow and steady and you will get there. I repeated several runs in several weeks, but many others don't need to . Please keep blogging to let us know how you get on :)
