Hi everyone!

Woke up Sunday with sore throat and cold symptoms, has gone to chest. Saw post on fb that RSV is quite prevalent in my area atm.

Anyway chest feels like it's on fire and raw when I cough. Anyway of easing it? I have a rescue pack for copd and started doxycycline but is there any point if its a virus?

The only thing I would suggest is a lemon and ginger drink. Have you been in touch with your GP to let him know that maybe your symptoms have changed. Please if you feel any worse get some medical advice or help, let is know how you ate have a good weekend and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx

You didn’t say if you were running a temp. I was in the hospital 1 1/2 yrs ago with pneumonia-RSV. It can get serious quickly. My immune system was low as I was taking Ibrance for metastatic br ca and I have moderate COPD. Not sure about your health but watch your temp and ability to breathe closely. They said I had a virus and a bacterial infection. Antibiotics by over was in order.
