I keep getting recurring chest infections and most days feel ill. My gp says it is my COPD but I'm wondering why I keep getting these chest infections constantly and feel so unwell. Any advice please?

COPD and chest infections go hand in hand. If your gp is not prescribing anything then you need to see if you can see a pulmonary specialist. Sometimes just changing your daily medications you already take for COPD might reduce the infections but they should at least be putting you on a routine of prednisone and antibiotics when it happens.

Thank you for your reply appreciate it. I didn't realise they went hand in hand. My GP has said she doesn't know why I keep getting them and is reluctantto keep giving me antibiotics and steroids. She has now referred me to a respiratory consultant . I just thought maybe something else was going on I keep seeing posts about bronchitis and just wondered if she was missing something as she doesn't look at anything else with me just COPD.

Good, I hope the respiratory consultant will follow at least the standard routine for alleviating the repeated flare ups you are having. Bronchitis is part of COPD.

It's the inhalers. I can't use any of them! I've been on so many and every time I get chest infections. Their poison as far as I'm concerned! Gonna try cbd oil.
