To be honest I am a bit worried about it, I know some people feel the same. Have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈

Thanks for replying. Friends who do not have COPD are asking why we are not willing to visit them. Make us feeling we are making a fuss about all.

We aren't making a fuss we are just being cautious. I'm waiting for a LVR operation and don't want to be put at risk, but even before that I was being cautious.😊 Bernadette xx xx 🌈

It’s quite sad and frustrating when people don’t understand about copd, and because we probably look ok they think we are. It is a very serious disease and even mild copd has to be managed carefully.

I am quite worried about shielding being stopped. I think we all have to use our own common sense and only do what we think is ok for us. We know our own bodies and it’s our life we are trying to protect after all.

I hope everyone stays safe.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. My husband is 78yrs old and has mild COPD. We have been shielding since Feburary. We really do not feel safe about going out again. I am not sure where to go for well informed advise.?

Because I've severe COPD, I shall stay shielding. Until the virus goes or there is a vaccine. I don't believe I have any alternative. If I caught the virus, I believe I wouldn't survive, going how bad I was with my last mild infection. People must use their own judgment.

Stay safe everyone.
