Hi, I'm new on here and was just wondering if anyone had any advice on those that have to isolate for 12 weeks? I haven't had a letter or a phone call so not sure if that means I'm not on the list? I am in Wales, are we also on a list or is this England only?
I have COPD, Hyperthyroidism, ITP, Raynauds, Sjorgens, to name but a few!
Anyone know if I'd be included?
Amy help/advice would be greatly appreciated?
Many thanks

As you are in Britain, I am not sure what or how directions are being given there. You ARE among what the medical experts classify as high risk. As a fellow patient, i would urge you to not worry about a list but take it upon yourself and shelter in place. Unusual times but thankfully we have each other.
Hi I'm sure you are included but if you are worried ring your GP also these people on here are lovely and very kind, so ask if you are worried someone will reply and help you I'm sure. Take care stay safe. Mary xx
Thanks you Minstrelgirl, I think I'm inclined to agree with all you fantastic people on here, and accept that I am at risk/vulnerable, and it's best I shield myself to stay safe. Thank you so much. Stay safe x
Good for you. If we know that medically we are safer by physical distancing (I hate the term social distancing,,,,cuz we MUST remain social, simply from afar) then physical distancing is what we must do. Don't wait for some edict from above or an unknown voice on the phone,,,,,,,act now, be safe, take precautions, but stay active,,,,,,and above all else,,,,,Breathe Easy. We will get through this.
Thank you, we most definitely will get through this and come out the other side with stronger social connections than before, because as you rightly said we all need to be social just from a distance. We need to keep calm, stay positive and focus on helping others in whatever way we can, but above all we need to keep ourselves, and our loved ones safe, regardless of the physical distance between us all. Keep safe, and stay positive, this will pass x
