Can anyone suggest a good cough mixture that might help to ease a tickly cough as it sometimes causes severe distress trying to breathe because of severe copd duff

Cuaifenesin 400 to 800 mg three times aday I take it every day for about five years now a teaspoon of honey helps too.

I've had the same thing happen and yes it is hard to catch your breath from coughing. I drank a lot of pineapple juice, water with lemon helps too. I also take vitamin c everyday. Robitussin helps a lot too. Hope your feeling better soon

Hi I always use Benylin they do a range of cough mixtures. Barbs x

Hi Duff1953, I don't often cough, but sometimes I get ticklish ones in my throat in which case I use cough drops, the brand and flavor are a matter of personal preference. I use Ricola Mountain Herb or generic brand honey lemon. For chest cough I also take guaifenisen syrup or Delsyum.
