Homemade Cough Syrup

Been very congested lately, the cold weather sure isn't helping. I made this cough syrup. Taking it a few times a day. All natural ingredients that are good for lungs and immunity. I use all organic ingredients. I take a tablespoon at a time, instead of a teaspoon as advised.



1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

juice of half a lemon

1/2 cup water


Combine all of the ingredients in a jar. Cover with a lid and shake to combine. Take 1 teaspoon at a time to soothe sore throats and coughs. Repeat every couple of hours as needed

  • Ive been boiling water on the stove. Helps with conjestion so does adding sone mint leaves to it.

  • So the boiling water acts as a humidifier? Do you have to be in the kitchen for the benefit? And do you boil a big pot of water?
